DirecTV Serial Control Utility - Control your DirecTV® satellite receiver with your computer.
This utility will work with the "Low Speed Data", "Data Port", "Home Control" and "Wide Band Data" ports of most DirecTV receivers. It will not work with any receivers used for another service (Dish Network, ect...) or cable boxes. If you are using an RCA receiver with a "Home Control" port, be sure it is set to "Low Speed Data" and not "Home Control".
If you have a receiver that is more than three years old, be sure to select old command set in the settings dialog. To access the settings dialog, select settings from the system menu of the utility (click on the DirecTV icon in the upper left of the window)
To enable speech synthesis with Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0 and XP; download a text-to-speech engine and the SAPI runtime from the Microsoft Agent download page.
